Sriman gets nostalgic!!!

Actor Sriman is one of the busiest character artistes with more than half a dozen films in his kitty. The latest we hear is that he has teamed up with actor Vikram after a gap of 18 years for the film, Sketch. They were earlier seen in the award-winning film, Sethu, directed by Bala.

Speaking to us, Sriman says, “It was a compelling moment for me. The best part is that we shot together at a place where we started for Sethu. After 18 years, we entered the same shooting bungalow Stone House, situated opposite to Egmore Court for Sketch where we shot Sethu.” Reminiscing his days with Chiyaan, he says, “I can call him my mentor. He was the one who taught me how to perform and emote in front of the camera. In fact, he took personal interest in teaching me and I am thankful to him.”

Being a trained Bharatanatyam dancer, Sriman says that Vikram was learning dance from him in turn! “Yeah, those were memorable days,” he quips. When we asked him about his character in the film, he was not too willing to reveal more. Sriman does add that it is easily one of his best characters ever. A source tells us that the film boasts of a mature friendship, with Sriman initially appearing to be a baddie — but is Vikram’s friend in reality!
